Our "Boss of Me" online learning track is where successful freelancers and entrepreneurs share how they achieved their success in a fast changing culinary world.
Ever want to kiss the office life good-bye and head for the country? Susie Middleton did just that, leaving her job as editor of Fine Cooking magazine in 2008 to move to the island of Martha’s Vineyard and write her first cookbook. She started stalking farmers and soon founded her own small farm with a daily farm stand.
Writing three more cookbooks, dozens of magazine articles, as well as a regular blog—while working the grind of a busy little farm—has made freelance life for Susie nothing if not interesting—and exhausting. Find out how Susie works it all out in the next episode of The Boss of Me.
