January 2017 Public Safety Meeting Date: Wednesday, January 11, 2017 Time: Noon to 1:00 p.m. Place: Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Avenue, 2nd Floor Mtg Room B Taking Action in 2017!
We will be taking a formal position on two issues at this meeting and we want your input:
1. Marijuana Regulations: A quick overview of what the regulations are (or over-regulations according to three people on City Council) and whether or not to support keeping none, some, or all of the existing marijuana regulations.
2. Enforcement of the Camping Ordinance. WE NEED YOUR INPUT ON WHERE THE CAMPS ARE CURRENTLY LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN PORTLAND. We will have a draft position letter to send to the Portland City Council to edit and approve at the meeting. A list of the current campsites and photographs will be included in the letter sent to City Council.
We will also have public safety updates from our public safety partners in the Central City. We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday!
