Anyone can do yoga, you don’t have to be super fit, super bendy or super strong. During this six week Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga course, in small class sizes (no more than 8 people) and under the supervision of two passionate instructors, you will learn the critical essentials of this ancient, powerful yet subtle practice. Yoga takes time and patience to learn but our course aims to give you the foundations of a yoga practice that you can then take confidently into any class led environment and also practice at home. People go to yoga classes for years without knowing the basics but it’s the basics that are fundamental if you want to access all that yoga has to offer.
You will learn; The role of breathing, inhaling and exhaling with movement-why is this so powerful? The importance of where we gaze, the role of the pelvic floor, why we Om, the purpose of Sun Salutation and how do to it properly. All this and so much more. You will also learn a little yoga philosophy and be led through meditation and relaxation techniques.
