This series of trio performances from the Canton Symphony Orchestra introduces students to the world of the symphony in a fun, interactive and musical way. Each trio performance is programmed around a bilingual (English/Spanish) children's story book written by Stella Blackstone and illustrated by Debbie Harter. Each program features a different instrument family (string, woodwind, and brass) performing traditional orchestral repertoire. While each performance is unique, the music and academic concepts will be addressed and reinforced at each to maximize children's learning potential. The more performances you attend, the more you learn! The trio performances give children an up-close introduction to each instrument family. The experience is complete when you hear all of the instrument families together at the Kinder Concert!
All of the SymphonyLand and Kinder Concert programs are open to the public as well as school groups.
