Border thoughts is an opportunity to vent, reflect and release some of the disappointments of 2016 through a creative design based process. Promoting discussion about a future we would all quite like - and how we might begin to make that a reality in 2017.
You’ll be introduced to speculative design and design fiction as methods for inquiry and critique; before engaging with key, border-related events of 2016 (Trump, or Boris as foreign secretary for example).
From here, you’ll have the opportunity to communicate your scenarios by creating socio-political artefacts. These artefacts can take any form, be they stories, images, clothing, products, hacks or even entire cities. If you can make it, we’ll take it.
A supportive environment to make, think and share. No need to bring anything with you, as all materials will be provided. Open to all
